A String Untouched, Dag Hammarskjöld’s Life in Haiku and Photography, biography by Kai Falkman $17.00
<strong>A String Untouched, Dag Hammarskjöld’s Life in Haiku and Photography</strong>, biography by Kai Falkman

Dag Hammarskjöld was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1961 for his work as the Secretary-General of the United Nations. After his death it was discovered that he had kept a poetic journal, and that his form of choice was haiku. Kai Falkman’s new translations and explications of these poems brings Hammarskjöld’s art to another generation might only have known hitherto from his considerable reputation and from the other, less truthfully realized, translations.
