a small affection, haiku by Günther Klinge

a small affection, haiku by Günther Klinge

Günther Klinge was one of the first successful expositors of international haiku. His work was made famous in beautifully produced volumes in translation by the photographer Ann Atwood in the 1970s and 80s. He was author of five such collections, and the recipient of many awards, including the Order of the Rising Blade, presented by the Emperor Hirohito of Japan. This postscript volume presents 19 of his most characteristic and moving poems.
